We can send your case to the High Court for a fresh appeal if we consider there may have been a miscarriage of justice.

The Cabinet Secretary for Justice is seeking to appoint two new Members to the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission. There is one legal and one lay position and details of these vacancies and the application process can be found here. Completed applications must be submitted by 5pm on Tuesday 6 October 2026.
